There are different groups that carry out the objectives of the institution. Below is a list of groups or committees made up of mostly volunteers with a common goal of achieving the objectives.
Branches
The Institution Board/Council recognizes and establishes appropriate Branches throughout Papua New Guinea with the objective to:
Women in Engineering (WiE)
Women in Engineering is a group that begun in 2012 when a group of like-minded female engineers decided to get together and form an engineering group of IEPNG mainly for the women/female engineers.
Unitech Industry Advisory Board/Committee
Papua New Guinea is not listed as a country that is under any of the Industry Accords and therefore requires accreditation of the degrees achieved at universities and technical colleges. The first advisory board established is to make the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (Unitech) to have all its engineering degrees accredited.
